Our aim is and always will be, to create the perfect Modern Jive Weekenders & Holidays, in gorgeous hotels, where we always aim for that 4* treatment, with 3* prices where you get mainly Modern Jive, but you can try out other dance styles if you wish.

As an Events Company we mainly look towards Modern Jive & will always cater first and foremost for you our MJ Dancer. However if you love to dance, we are sure you would love to dip your toes into other styles. This may well open your eyes to a whole new dance world, but it maybe something that you can just tick off your bucket list.

Dance styles besides MJ vary from Weekender to Weekender & Holidays, but here are some of the other dance styles we offer:
Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Latin Ballroom, Lindy Hop & Swing, Blues, Fun Adult Ballet, Disco, Zouk, Bachata, not forgetting that Modern Jive will be the main dance on all of our weekenders & holiday.

Our History how and why:

In 2000 we, as Chance to Dance organised the 1st ever Dance Weekender/Competition in the whole of the North of England, now known as the World Modern Jive Championships at the Blackpool Tower.

Since then we have seen lots of weekenders start up, such as Southport’s Pontins Splash (which we incidentally headlined back in 2001 or 2002 - it was a long time ago!), Jive Addictions Hemsby and quite a few 2* & 3* Hotel type Weekenders. So when we launched Revolution Dance and then Euphoria Events, we thought there was a gap for the dancer who loved to dance, but wanted more from the accommodation! That 4* Treatment, not only with the rooms, but with the food & services on offer.

We appreciate that the main reasons for the weekenders & holidays are to dance & meet up with friends, so we also wanted to give you that 4* Dance Treatment, with some of the best Ballrooms & Teachers of the very best quality, as well as not forgetting some of our home grown amazing Modern Jive Teachers.

For this reason we have included so far Teachers & Cabaret Performers who have performed on Strictly Come Dancing, Won the USA’s Dancing with the Stars, Finished 28th in the World of Latin Ballroom, Opened the MOBO Awards, Won the World Modern Jive Champions at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool, as well as appearing on many TV shows. Yes we really do want to bring you the best!

All that said, we want you first and foremost to have fun, and our team & teachers make sure this happens, during Workshops, Freestyles & general social times.

Photography and Filming Notice
Revolution Dance Ltd and/or Euphoria Events Ltd may take photographs and video recordings at its classes, freestyles, workshops, weekenders and other dance events.

Images and recordings may be used for legitimate promotional, marketing, publicity and archival purposes, including but not limited to use on our websites, social media channels, email newsletters, printed leaflets, brochures, posters and other promotional material.

By attending one of our events, you acknowledge that photography and filming may take place and that you may appear incidentally in crowd shots, dance floor footage or general event imagery.

We rely on our legitimate interests in promoting and documenting our events, and in showing the atmosphere, scale and nature of our dance activities. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that images are used fairly, respectfully and appropriately.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify the organiser, reception desk or event staff on arrival. We will take reasonable steps to avoid intentionally photographing or filming you where this has been made known to us. However, due to the nature of large dance events, crowd settings and moving dance floors, we cannot guarantee that you will not appear incidentally in the background of general crowd images or video footage.

Where a person has notified us that they do not wish to be photographed or filmed, we will not knowingly use close-up, posed or prominent images of that person for promotional purposes.

If you believe that an image or video of you has been used and you would like it removed, please contact us at keith@revolutiondance.co.uk, identifying the relevant image or video where possible. We will review the request and, where reasonable and practicable, remove the image or stop using it in future promotional material.

Parents, guardians or carers should notify us in advance or on arrival if they do not wish a child or vulnerable person in their care to be photographed or filmed.

This notice forms part of our event attendance terms and our approach to privacy and data protection.
